I have worked in the construction industry creating building documents with AutoCAD science 1985. I am also a carpenter who trained and worked with one of Southern California's larger interior subcontractors. Working as a carpenter has Been a treasured experience. I learned plenty from being on the other side of the blueprint. I paid attention and studied what problems and solutions the other trades had with the same blueprints I was working with to build walls. As I worked for a design build general contractor people tried to control what they said regarding problems with a set of plans. When I was one of the men erecting a job I could better judge what was a problem, confusion, or gripe. In life it's just too easy to simply blame someone else. Just as in life there is a practical limit to how much research people should do before during and after designing a job.
I have worked with architect's, structural engineers, electrical engineers, building owners/developers and home owners to help them create working drawings, visitation / diagnostic models and as built plans.
In recent years I have seen incredible things happen thanks to the evolving World Web and advancement of computers and peripheral. |
